A little Watercolour Beach Scene

Here is my take on  W for Watercolour

I decided to do a picture for this project instead of a card. I wasn't sure what but anyway this is how it turned out so I hope you all like it.

Project By Jimbo

I had been given some lovely picture frames by a fellow crafter at Suzicraft, the wonderful thing about crafters is we always share so I thought I would use one for my W for Watercolour.

So when it was nice the other day I took our dog to Saltburn beach and while he was running madly as always in the water I looked down and thought why not do a beach scene for your picture, so I started to collect shells and bits of seaweed, it reminded me of when I was a little girl (yes I can actually remember that long ago LOL)

I began by taking the frame apart and spreading some walnut stain on my splodgeaway mat and rubbing it in with a sponge to make the frame a bit darker. I then stuck the shells and some pieces of frayed string to the frame.

I then stamped my beach scene stamp onto the SplodgeAway elegance card this is really nice for doing watercolour on. I use my mat with my distress inks to colour in it, die cut some clouds and inked them using my mat. Then I added some bits of shells and sand for texture. I had great fun doing this it was a change from doing a card and as some of my fellow team members know I find it hard to not do cards lol thanks for stopping by.
