My inspiration for this card came from the little blue square in the middle of it. It was from one of my little craft room play days - I love this Swirls mask - in fact all of them! They just look so good on the core'dinations card because you get such a deep emboss with them and the deep colours of the card really show the Masks for what they are.
So, I kind of did this card backwards, I cut out the three blue squares with the swirls on, positioning the Die so that I got a full swirl on the large one, the second one is just part of the larger swirl which I put on with foam pads to de-coupage it, I also raised all the other squares with foam pads to give some more interest to the card.
The black backing is thick card which I embossed with the dot Mask and then I inked through the swirl mask in Black distress ink, this gave a very suttle but effective pattern to the black card and makes it look almost shiny in parts.
For the Heat Embossing in the Chunky gold I used the Papermania pen to get the fine edges and then the thicker Sailfor glue pen to colour in the areas I wanted to emboss. I then put on the Chunky Gold powder and heated from underneath. I added the ribbon with Red Tape stuck to the cards and just creased it up to give some texture. I did a third generation stamp to the back of the sentiment with a Xmas word stamp which I got last year and added the "All Wrapped Up" sentiment.
Most of the materials used were bought from Suzicraft.
I hope you like it, Bye for now, Sam
