Wow
where has the summer gone? We’ve spent the whole of the summer on our
SplodgeAway alphabet, and this week sees the last letter Y, and the challenge
was by the yard, so I’ve use ribbon and also faux stitching.
Project By Karen Wright |
I
started by taping the star SplodgeAway mask onto Easy ink card, and using the
SplodgeAway mat I applied several distress inks in autumnal colours, I used
spiced marmalade, shabby shutters and walnut stain.
For the
owl, leave and phrase I used my cricut and give a hoot cartridge once assembled
I heat embossed with clear powder to give it a glossy coat, once the card was
assembled and the American crafts ribbon attached I used a white POSCA pen to
make the faux stitching.
I love
the new mask, to me it gives the impression of a quilting pattern and I know it
will be very versatile for many projects.
Thank
you for joining us through the summer and I know weve got many new exciting
things coming your way on the blog including some challenges and give aways, be
sure to pay us a visit again real soon.
