Tranquil sea breezes, how I wish I was
walking along that beach!
I love this stamp but don’t use it often enough, I will have to dig out a few more of my oldies which I’ve neglected.
I love this stamp but don’t use it often enough, I will have to dig out a few more of my oldies which I’ve neglected.
This week we’re using Adirondack products, I’ve
used stamp pads not only to stamp with but also as water colours. All are
available from Suzicrafts.
I first stamped the image using Adirondack
sail boat blue onto SplodgeAway easy ink card, using a damp paintbrush I
blended the colours of the sea and birds, then using caramel I added the sand
colour and using meadow for the grass, the edges were coloured using my
SplodgeAway mat and scattered straw distress inks with a little smudge of
walnut stain on the very edges. The large lighthouse was stamped in scattered
straw and when put in place on the card was covered in glossy accents to give
it an enameled look.
The background is a piece of Tim Holtz
kraft resist card that has been blended with tumbled glass, walnut stain and
mustard seed distress inks and my trusty SplodgeAway mat.
The finished card has got stickles, charms
and hessian added.

A really beautiful card, lovely water colouring. I must dig my Adirondacks out to use on my Splodge as I forget about them and just reach for the Distress - thank you for the nudge Karen
