Carol Tadden

Good Morning Splodgers,

How are we all today? I hope you have all had a lovely and productive weekend, hopefully this week will see some sun and kickstart our summer. Tom, Holly and myself are off to Cornwall in 2 weeks so rain please please stay away.

Today Carol has allowed us to showcase her High Res Elegance Card project. This is Carol's first official post as a SplodgeAway DT Member so 'Welcome' Carol x

This card was made using the gorgeous Bamboo mask as the background inked in subtle shades of distress ink. I wanted the image to stand out against it. I chose aStampshappen, inc stamp....Feather Bonnet, which I stamped onto the Elegance Card with black Versafine ink and then clear embossed it, ready for colouring. I am out of my comfort zone here as I am not noted for my colouring skills, but this card made blending the shades from light to dark really easy! It accepted the colours so well and I was pleased how bright the Promarkers I used remained.

I die cut the circle and mounted it on foam pads for a little dimension and to give further focus to the beautiful lady.
A strip of green ribbon topped with a gold ribbon, was attached along the centre line and the flower and leaf embellishments added. I really loved the super smooth feel of this card and can't wait now to try it with some Prisma colouring pencils!!!

This is the SplodgeAway Oriental Bamboo Layout that Carol has used on her card.

Thank you to Carol for a lovely first project, your colouring is great :-) Why not pop over to Carol's blog to see some amazing projects.

Check back tomorrow for more projects using SplodgeAway Card.
