Today I thought I'd share a canvas I made recently for SplodgeAway. The background was created using Claudine Hellmuth Gesso brushed through the balloon mask with a thick paint brush. Allow this to dry and I then spritzted the canvas with Cosmic Shimmer Spray Inks. I was delighted to find that these sprays sit on the surface of the gesso and also add a lovely, shiny colouration to the gesso.

Thank you also to all you lovely ladies and gents who came to our Ranger Day Workshops this week. I hope you left inspired to create and allow yourselves some time and space to get messy, inky and be creative.
Thanks

ReplyDeleteHi Annette, Stunning Card. Yet another new technique to try. Gesso is one of my favourite craft products & I always have jars of it lying around. I have used it in combo with masks for layering before, but only using random bits of a background / alphabet stencil, never for a full image. Thanks for the idea.
