Classy Lady

Sam has created a lovely card as part of our vintage ladies week

Materials Used

SplodgeAway Mat
SplodgeAway Masks - Dot the Lot and Heart
Range Distress Inks - Tea Dye, Vintage Photo, Barn Door, Broken China
Indigo Blu Stamps
Art Deco Stamps from Magazine
Co'rdinates Paper
Papers from my Stash

Method

I decided to keep this card simple and concentrate on the Inking and the Masks because thats what I love to do the most.  I cut out the Vintage Lady from a scrapbook page I had, you can start with any image - the card was designed around my image.

Decide on your centre piece positioning but don't stick down until the end.  Cut a piece of Co'rdinates card 9cm by 20cm then with the patterned paper cut two pieces 3cms wide, this saves wastage as you can just slip it under the centre piece for the edges to show.

The Photographic paper was from my own stash.

Centre piece - using Tea Dye and Vintage Photo to age the cor'dinates card and the side panels.  With Lady Stamp, stamp over the photograph paper and cor'dinations, this joins them up.  Stick the centre piece to each other and put the lady in position with Foam Pads and put to one side.

Use the centre piece as a guideline for your outer stamping - the words vintage etc.  Put your Dot the Lot mask over the 8"by8" card and with the the Broken China ink splodge over the mask with a light touch and don't go over every dot, leave big gaps, then do the same with the Tea Dye.

Now place the Heart Mask over the card and splodge till you get an aged look that you are happy with, but don't make it too dark, I started with Blue using the same method as above, then the Tea Die.

On the Edges start off with the blue splodging some areas darker than others, the go round all edges with the Vintage Photo and a tiny bit of black in the lighter areas.

Put the whole card together and finish off with three heart gems.

Hope you like the card and give it a go.
