How are you all today? I would just like to take this opportunity to say THANK YOU to everybody who takes the time to read the blog and see what our amazing DT members are up too.
Today Jayne is going to 'tell you what her Favourite Technique' is.
Well it’s so hard to choose 1 technique to use with my SplodgeAway Masks as I love experimenting with loads of different techniques with them as they’re soooo versatile!
Anyway apart from Splodging loads of different mediums through them and embossing them I love dry embossing then rubbing off the raised parts with a fine sandpaper. It makes a lovely effect and is especially great for cards for males.
It can be very effective and don’t forget – it doesn’t have to be core-d-nations card you use, try experimenting with different card stock. As long as it has a different coloured core or back you should be able to use this technique. In the past I have used kraft card stock, card with pearlised coating on one side and a cheap cardstock with a white core, all successfully!
On this sample I used core-d'nations and stamped the image and sentiment with versamark and embossed it with fine white embossing powder.

ReplyDeleteI know what you mean Jayne how do you choose when there is so much you can do with these masks. Embossing in co ordinations is one of my favourite techniques too and black and white. haha. Beautiful card Jayne.x

ReplyDeleteA really stunning card!!!! Love monochrome....always so stylish. and love the technique you have shown here. Thanks for the tip to try other card stock!!1 Haven't done that and thought it would only work with ocrdination! So will be so trying this out so effective. xx
