Yvonne

Hello Splodgy Splodgers,

How are you today? Only 3 days until Tom appears back on our screens, a little sneaky tip, the night before the show Create and Craft often add the new products onto their website and a certain kit maybe re-appearing??

Today we have a lovely project from Yvonne using the SplodgeAway High Res Elegance A4 card. I love this card as Dahlias are my favourite plants.

Using the Vine Layout mask I embossed this onto the Elegance High Res paper.  Leaving the mask in place I blended Vintage Photo and Squeezed Lemonade Distress inks (quite lightly) onto the background.  Then I removed the mask and coloured the vine pattern with Panpastels.  For a little interest I stamped the Dahlia stamp onto the background with Momento London Fog.

Following this I stamped the Dahlia stamp three times also on to the Elegance paper.  Using Promarkers (Tulip Yellow, Dusky Rose and antique Pink) I coloured and blended the flowers.  These were then cut out and attached to the background with foam pads for dimension.

I found the Elegance card very smooth and a joy to use with Promarkers.

This is the 8"x8" SplodgeAway Vine Layout Mask that Yvonne used on the project alongside the Elegance Card.

If you enjoyed looking at Yvonne's samples why not pop over to her blog, you won't be disappointed!

Check back tomorrow to see Kathleen's and Shell's amazing projects,

Thank you for taking the time to look at the blog,

Susan xx
