Jayne's Lot's of Layer's!

Jayne's Lot's of Layer's

Good Morning Splodgy Splodgers, How are you all today?

I'm very excited today, firstly we are off to our beautiful God Son's Christening then we are coming home and I am going to craft....yep....craft..I am so excited!!

Today we have a beautiful card to showcase from Jayne. This is a stunning card and I'm sure you will agree..

'As you all know by now I LOVE vintage and when we were asked to do a card featuring lots of  layers I thought vintage was just the thing'

Materials:
SplodgeAway Mat
SplodgeAway Swirly Mask
SplodgeAway Easy Ink Card

Distress Ink-Shabby Shutters
Patterned papers
Butterfly stamps  and word stamps
Paper flowers Ribbon and lace scrap
Button and adhesive pearls and avocado liquid pearls
Small amount of acetate
Fold your A4 card in half and cut a 3cm strip off the long open edge. Round all the outside corners. Cut a piece of patterned paper to fit the front, leaving a small border.
Cut a piece of card 10cmx20cm and fold in half to create a 10cmx10cm mini card blank . Round the corners and then cut away some of the front panel ( with the fold on the right hand side) to make a ‘tag’ shape as shown Cover the front with patterned paper and ink all edges using your SplodgeAway Mat and Distress Ink. Adhere to the card as shown. Use a mask and ink onto the front panel(another layer!) and the mini card.
Stamp all images and words until you achieve a pleasing ‘look’. Add lace and a button to the mini card and ribbon to the main card. Add flowers and leaves of your choice and stamp your butterflies onto a piece of scrap card. Cut out carefully and mount onto small strips of acetate that you have ‘curled’ with scissors beforehand. Glue these to your card and they look as if they’re ‘flying’! Finish off your card by adding adhesive pearls to your card and liquid pearls to your butterflies

Hope you enjoyed looking at my design. You can carry on adding different masks and layers until you achieve the finish you want and with vintage it never seems to look ‘too much’. Have fun and thanks for looking.  Jayne xxxxxx

Thank you to Jayne for another lovely piece of artwork!
As of tomorrow we are doing all of the new DT member introductions so please be sure to call back :-)
