Jayne's Elegance High Res Project and Review.

Good Morning,

How are you all today? Hello to the new blog followers and thank you for taking the time to follow us.

Well I think I must of been the only happy person yesterday to see the rain falling, it meant I didn't have to water the plants and I finally got the chance to unpack and sort through my craft boxes. ( Well, actually my niece did!) This means that I might sneak a few samples in for the show on Friday, times are now confirmed..11am and 6pm.

Today we have the pleasure of showing you Jayne's review of the SplodgeAway Hig Res Elegance Card and also her 2 amazing projects. What do you think of Jayne's colouring??? I think it is FANTASTIC! x

This is what Jayne had to say about the card:

I use a lot of digistamps in my projects so I was over he moon when the SplodgeAway Elegance Card went through my printer with no problems at all and it dried very quickly ready to add colour.
My first card’s image was coloured using promarkers and the elegance card was ideal. At one point I ‘overworked ‘ an area on the face and it went blotchy but it dried in minutes to a smooth, even coloured finish  - fab!
The background was created with a Splodgeaway Heart the Lot 8"x8"mask and distress inks and I hand-cut the ‘flags’ for the sentiments.

My second card was, again using a digistamp but this time I coloured it with the humble coloured pencil!

The image has a much more delicate appearance but the Elegance card is super-smooth and makes it easy to layer up and blend the colour together.
The background was created using a SplodgeAway mask to emboss onto coordination card and sanded back.
Hope you like my cards and it inspires you to try different media to what you would usually use. Thanx for looking. Hugz, Jayne xxxx

Thank you to Jayne for some beautiful samples :-) If you want to see more of Jayne's work please follow her blog x

Enjoy your Sunday,

Susan x x

  6. Lovely, but I have a question. When I print things on my printer I know it's not fixed, ie if it gets wet the ink will run. When you do digi printing do you seal the final project? Or isn't it a problem?

  7. Hi there.Ive not had a problem at all with this so I dont bnther sealing my projects but then again I never use wet media to colour my images. maybe u cud ret ur digi images by using a very fine embossing powder as soon as it comes out of ur printer n use ur heat gun to melt it?
Thanx for all ur lovely comments ladies. I really appreciate them x x x
