Project By Sam Crowe

Backing Paper - Randomly ink and blend with the Wild Plum, Fired Brick and Tea Dye. Keep the centre quite light and the left side edges slightly darker than the right side, You don't want too much colour behind the dress or it will get a bit lost. Stamp the "Yard" ruler down the left side and the thimble stamp next to it - stamp 3 pairs of scissors on the left over the ruler, just for added interest.

The Dress - From the serif digi kit I pulled in a picture of a wedding dress (copyright free) I cut down the image so that it was just a skirt and placed it over the image of the manquin. On an A4 piece of SplodgeAway Easy Ink card I printed off the images of the dress and the flowers, heart etc that I had set to the size I wanted on the Serif Kit then cut these out.

I decorated the flowers, tags and dress with the same inks, I just wanted a slightly aged look to the dress as if it had been left in a shop window for a while?

Putting it all together - I played around a while with the actual layout of the card, I used the flowers as the "ribbon" if you like because as you will see this is a very common card layout.

I stuck everything down before I decorated with the liquid pearls so that I could gently set the card aside to dry overnight when done. I put the pearks on the flowers and the dress and as a necklace. I randomly dotted around the dress to give the impression of a glittery lace topping. To get the tiny dots I touched the paper with the point of the ink.

I would class this style as "Shabby Chic"? would you agree?

Hope you like it.

Sam
