Let me introduce you to ....

My name is Kay Foreman and I retired from the Civil Service two years ago. I had worked the last six years of my working life there but the bulk of my working like I spent as a sales representative for various builders on building sites around the North East. Who knows I may have sold some of you your New home. Like a lot of avid crafters I have crafted most of my life in one form or another but my first passion was probably knitting. My children will verify this as everthing they wore when they were little was probaly knitted! From there I went on to try cross stitch and then eventually what proved to be the

beginnings of my paper crafting. I started to attend classes for lots of different crafts like decoupage glass painting etc gaining little accreditations on the way and ended up with paper crafting and there I have remained. My Knitting is still always by my side but cant manage much now as my hands protest.

I have been married to Cliff for 44 years! and we have two lovely children Stephen and Sally. Sally just got married at Langley Castle this February.



Kay's Project is a card she made while trying out sparkle medium.

MATERIALS NEEDED



Splodgeaway snowflake masks

Elegance card

Sparkle medium gel in blue

Turquoise spotty ribbbon

Tim Holtz distress ink in Peacock Feathers

Clarity Stamp Christmas Greetings

Silver embossing powder

Perfect medium

Pinflair snowflake sparkles

Border punch of holly

Grand Calibur

Pinflair glue



Cut seven and half inch square of elegance card and place snowflake mask on top. I used my hands to keep in place but you may prefer to secure with something like paper clips of Stick and Spray. You then apply the sparkle gel over the mask filling in the snowflake apertures. Allow a couple of hours to dry. While this is drying run large snowflake through Grand Calibur to emboss and then cut out snow flake image and dust with Distress Ink useing a brush. Dot randomly with glue and then cover glue with snowflake sparkles.

Cut a piece of card two and half inches wide the same width as project and punch down each side. Distress with Tim Holtz Peack feathers. Secure ribbon down centre.

Stamp christmas greeting with perfect medium, Cover with silver embossing powder and heat set. Useing a die cut shape place over stamp and run through machine to cut and emboss then distress edges with peacock feathers.

The card is now ready to construct. Secure Holly border strip to centre of snowflake background using pinflair glue and then large snowflake on top. Place sentiment on bottom right again eseing pinflair glue. I would recomment useing this glue as sometimes other glue do not stick to sparkley surfaces and it also gives some lift to the toppers.
