Embossed Spira Circule

Project By Jayne
Well I’ve always loved my distress inks but since I’ve got my fab SplodgeAway mat I love them even more!!

Here’s my first DT design..... I’m so excited to be working with Tom  aka Mr SplodgeAway), and the team.

You will need:

SplodgeAway mat / SplodgeAway mask /  SplodgeAway easy ink cardstock
8” x 8” card blank
Black soot distress ink
Sam Poole stamps from Creative expressions
Corrugated craft card
Card candy from craftwork cards
Gems
Promarkers
Scraps of patterned paper from your stash
Adhesive pads
Black card
Decorative border punch

Instructions:

Emboss the SplodgeAway mask onto easyink card and use your  mask to highlight the’ raised’ side of the design with DI. Try to make the ink slightly darker toward the middle of the page to draw the eye in! Cut out and layer onto black card before fixing to your card blank

Stamp the image once onto white card and again onto patterned paper. Cut both out and adhere the patterned dress onto the figure. Use promarkers to colour the rest of the image.

Cut a’ mat ’from the corrugated card slightly bigger than your image and another from black card slightly bigger still and mat and layer them, adding your image with adhesive pads.

Stamp out sentiment, ink edges, fix to a piece of corrugated card. Using your border punch make a band big enough to go across the front of your card. Cut a small piece to go in the top right corner and assemble as shown.

Stamp a bird onto patterned paper, fix above the sentiment and outline with promarker to make it stand out.

Add your gems and fix the card candy using small pieces of adhesive pads to finish.

Have fun!!
