No More Blues!!

Good Morning Splodgy Splodgers. I hope you have had a lovely weekend. Tom and I had a role reversal on Saturday, I spent the day in the shop and Tom stayed at home with Holly. It was lovely seeing everybody again but I did miss my baby x

Today we are shwocasing Kay's No More Blues Project!! Self explanatory but Kay had to produce a project using no blue at all so take a look.......

Materials Used:

SplodgeAway 8x8 Do It With Daisies 2 Mask
SplodgeAway Easy Ink Card Stock
Spellbinders Die Leafy Squares
Tim Holtz Distress Inks - Evergreen Bough, Seedless Preserves, Squeezed Lemon
Stickles Glitter
Dimension Flower Stamp.

I didn't realise how difficult it would be to create a card with no blues as I love blue. I removed all the blues from sight and this is the finished result. Enjoy Kay.

Instructions:

To make the card I first ran the mask through the Grand Calibur and while the mask was still in place blended with Evergreen Bough, Squeezed Lemon and Seedless preserve and cut to size.

I then stamped, coloured and constructed the flowers, colouring with distress ink and glittering the edges.

The Tutti Cuti stamp was then stamped with memento and coloured with pro markers and then edged with seedless preserve. I then cut the Leafy Square die out and distressed the edges with Seedless Preserve.

We are now ready to construct the card which I think is self explanatory but before I glued the topper onto card I glued dotty ribbon around botton and made a knot which I glued on.

Thank you

Rae's Sunny Post!!

Good Morning Splodgy Splodgers,

I hope you have had a lovely weekend and have something nice planned for today. The weather here has been pretty drizzly but when suppliers have been ringing they keep telling me its sunny where they are! At least my plants are bring watered!!

Today we have a nice bright piece from Rae and in her words ' Something bright for these chilly days'.

Rae has used the SplodgeAway Pebbly Texturiser Mask and acrylic paint for the background of this card. This is what I love about the SplodgeAway Masks, they make amazing backgrounds without needing anything else. Rae has then used Sam Poole stamps to create the beautiful toppers.

Thank you Rae for a stunning card and it has definately brightened my day :-) For more inspiration from Rae please check out her blog.

TheSplodgeAway texturizers are also available in a set of 4 from Create and Craft.

Thanks for taking the time to read our blog,

Lot's of Layer's by Sam

Good Morning Splodgy Splodgers,

What are you all doing this weekend? I can't wait until Holly settles on a night so I can pull all my stash out and have a good play.

Today we are continuing with the theme 'Lot's of Layer's' and Sam is showcasing her monochrome tag. Find all the details below on how to make this beautiful tag.

Products Used:
12x12 SplodgeAway Mat
Black Soot Distress Ink
Tag
Knitted Top & Flower, ribbobs and card from my own stash
Tim Holtz Dress Form Die

Method

Cut out the Dress Form in the black card -   Dress it however you want to - mess around with a few fabrics, just glue them into place first if this is new to you, some people sew them on.  Decide on the angle you want it to be on i.e. leaning left, right, or straight.  I usually decide this depending on what I am going to put in the Tag Hole.  So I leaned it to the left - I am very symmetrical except when I am doing a tag? If you want the centre piece and the top to stand out its best if you don't line them up straight.

So the fun bit - I just couldn't decide which SplodgeAway Mask I wanted to use which was ideal because there you have your layers for the challenge.  I dressed the Form in the winter warmers and layered up the masks, I just grabbed a handful of my highly patterned Masks.  I had undercoated the tag with the Chalk Paint as it is cream and I wanted a whiter background so that I only had to use Black on the masks.

So on this bit don't try to do the same as me just get out all your favourite SplodgeAway masks and go over a corner, to the side of the dressform, fill in gaps with the dots?  Just have some Splodgy fun.
Hope you like it Sam

Annette's Create and Craft Samples

Hello Splodgy Splodgers,

Big waves to our new followers....I hope you enjoy the SplodgeAway Blog and find lots of inspiration.

Today is our last day of Create and Craft Samples and I am sure you agree that the DT Team did an amazing job as always. Thank you x

Annette Lee called past the shop 2 days before Tom went on T.V and said she would do some samples for the show and we are very pleased that she did as they are so elegant....take a look....

Annette has used the Scribble Frame and Birthday Girl mask to produce this beautiful feminine card. Annette has used centura pearl card alongside the SplodgeAway Mat and distress inks to give the pastel shimmery look.

This is a great card using the 'Little Toerag' Mask which is perfect for boys cards.

Annette has used the Bountiful Butterfly Mask to create another stunning card.

Annette has used the Floral Butterfly Wreath and WOW Today Mask to create a beautiful elegant card. tBut...can you spot the mistake..heheheh x

These cards are so bright and elegant in real life but I don't think the camera has captured the light like it should have. Thank you to Annette for the amazing samples at such short notice.

Tomorrow we will be showcasing the DT work that was created before Holly was born. Because of the birth and lack of time to do anything the amazing work was not showcased so please check back tomorrow for a catch up.

Happy Splodging

Hazel's Create and Craft Samples

Good Morning Everybody,

I hope you are all well today. The weather seems to be picking up so maybe we will have a summer soon!

Today we are showcasing the Dragon's Samples.

Hazel has embossed the 'Little Toerag' mask through a die cutting machine with embossing ink then heat embossed the card. I love this card!!

Hazel has embossed the 'birthday girl' sentiment and inked though the 'presents' mask.

Hazel has used the 'Happy Birthday' mask to create a quick yet effective birthday card. This mask can be used with alternative colours making it ideal for all ages.

I think this is a great use of 2 masks. The 'tulip field' and 'Check This Out' Mask. Lots of blending and shimmer.

Hazel has inked through the 'Psychedelics' Mask, stamped an image and created a stunning card.

I couldn't get the shimmer with the camera, but Hazel has blended and shimmered this card. It is very sparkly in real life. Hazel has used the 'Butterfly creator' to make the butterflies on the card.

The card above has been created with one of our favorite masks, the "Wow Today" mask       from the Happy Birthday Create & Craft Kit.  This mask is so easy to use, its has also been used alongside the Psychedelics mask to make a simple yet effective card.

The next card has been created by using a number of Distress Inks blended over a mask from the Check This Out' kit along with two masks from the Bountiful Butterfly Kit, although Bountiful Butterflies Kits 1 was a Create & Craft exclusive, you can find the second kit in the series here.  I think that we are all in agreement that this is a lovely example of a card.

Thank you to our 'Dragon' Hazel for some beautiful samples. Be sure to check back next week to read Hazel's introduction into the team.

Tomorrow is the last day of our Create and Craft samples and we will be showcasing Annette Lee's cards.

Thank you for taking the time to visit our blog,

Good Morning Splodgy Splodgers,

How are you all today? We are nearly at the ending of our Create and Craft Samples but we will be starting to introduce the new design team members which is very exciting :-)

Today we are showcasing Jayne's samples. Last show Jayne was poorly so we are really excited to see this months cards...sorry for the poor lighting on the photographs I think we need a new camera x

I love this easel card using the masks and core-d'nations card. Jayne has used the Birthday Train, Birthday Cake and 'Check this out' masks.

Jayne has used the popular Floral Butterfly Wreath to create  a stunning elegant card.

I love the concept of this card, Jayne has used the 'Check This
Out' Mask and also the Butterfly Creator. Jayne has then semi-cut the butterflies out so they pop of the card....great!!

Jayne has used the Psychedelic Mask and Birthday Cake to make this exploding card.

AMAZING!!!! Jayne has created this stunning tag using the Bountiful Flourish Mask.

Big thank you to Jayne for your stunning work.

Kathleen has sprayed and inked over the Detailed Butterflies to create a beautiful butterfly card.

Kathleen has inked, cut out and wrapped the Tulip Field Mask around a jar to create a beautiful candle holder. Something a bit different....

I love this easel card incorporating several masks again. Kathleen has only used one small piece of backing card and the rest is SplodgeAway.

Kathleen has created a beautiful gift box using the Party Poppers Mask and Birthday Presents.

Another alternative to cards is a bottle label....perfect for all occasions.....Kathleen has embossed the Scribble Frame (which is really versatile) and Butterfly Creator.

A great idea for a femaile birthday card using the 8x8 Psychedelic Mask and Birthday Girl Sentiment

I love this frame!!! Psychedelic Mask in the background and Butterfly Creator for the butterflies.

Kathleen has created 2 birthday gift bags, one male and one female........wow!!

Kathleen has done an amazing job of showcasing the Birthday Kit. Thank you Kathleen :-) You can purchase the whole kit from Create and Craft or the individual components from SplodgeAway.

Something different for a 21st Birthday with the 'WOW TODAY' Mask

Kay has done a great job with the Birthday Cake Mask with lots of glitter.

I hope you all have a lovely weekend planned. I still haven't planted my vegetables so hopefully I can get that done this weekend then I can carry on unpacking my crafting goodies. We moved 11 weeks ago and we still haven't unpacked everything but we have a cute reason why lol!

Tom has being doing a lot of giveaways over on the SplodgeAway Facebook page so if you haven't already pop over and SplodgeAway as a friend.
You may of noticed on the last show Maria wasn't present. This is because she was at Ally Pally but she did send some beautiful projects.....

Maria used part of the Floral Butterfly Wreath and Check This Out Mask to create this card. Very eye catching and the colours just work together so well.

Maria has used the Tulip Field Mask to create a beautiful journal page.

Another beautiful card using both the Tulip Field Mask and 'Check This Out' Mask.

Maria has used the Floral Butterfly Wreath, Check This Out Mask and also cut a piece of the 'Psychedelic Mask' to create a flower....great idea!!

Good Morning Everybody,

I hope you have all being enjoying the sunny weather, the forecast in our area isn't too good for the weekend so I hope it is wrong!! Have you received your new SplodgeAway Exclusive Butterfly Kit yet? Tom has lots of new ideas in the pipeline and its all very exciting.
Today we are showcasing the amazing Rae or as Tom calls her 'Candy Floss Head' Create and Craft Samples. Poor Rae always gets the samples a few days before the show so she does a great job of creating and getting them back in days.

Rae has created this great card using the SplodgeAway Psychedelic Mask that is available from Create and Craft.

Another great card using the 'Check This Out' Mask.

Another card using the 'Psychedelic Mask. Rae has demonstrated how the same mask can create so many different effects.

Rae has used the Detailed Butterflies and created a beautiful feminine card. Stunning.
